Half way through the week and I am on a roll! Yes, my friends, I have been actively creating and working diligently this week, and I am feeling good about my latest design.
In a previous post, I told you all about my love for roller skating and how it’s helped me cope with my mental health. When I roller skate, I feel one with my body and I get better and better each time I’m on eight wheels.
It seemed obvious that I needed to make a roller skating design for my shops, and that is exactly what I did.
This design was an exercise in minimalism, to be honest. I was really tempted to add a lot more detail to the skate, but when I began doing so, it felt like it was too much.
The purpose of the design is mainly for stickers so I needed to keep the design with minimal detail in order for it to translate and read well on a sticker.
Stickers are smaller print, usually, so having too much detail can take away from a design. I kept it minimal, only adding some detail on the wheels, and I think I made the right choice.
What do you think about this design? Let me know in the comments!
I’m selling this sticker in a set of three, so you get more for your money. Share with friends, stick it on your roller skating helmet, or stick it around town to let others know the roller skate community is alive!
