Crows on Branches Work In Progress

In this post, I want to do something a little different and instead of waiting to share the finished piece with you, share the work in progress of a new digital painting I am working on.

One of my hobbies is photography. I’m the most amateur of amateur, but I have a decent starter camera and I enjoy pretending I’m a real photographer. I realized I could use my own photography as inspiration for my digital paintings, and have decided on this photo of crows on branches to be my next painting.

I decided to simply trace over the photo to create the outline, and that’s what I’m sharing with you today. Just a little sketch.

I am currently using Adobe Fresco for this piece. As you may know, it is quickly becoming my favorite drawing software. Procreate is wonderful, but I think the quality of work created on Fresco is slightly better, and as I have mentioned before, I find Adobe’s brushes to be superior. No hate to Procreate.

Follow Me On Twitter If You Dare

A month ago I created a new Twitter account and I’d love to have some nice people to interact with. If you’re on Twitter, give me a follow! Be warned, I am passionate about politics, but I’m trying really hard to focus on other things there. Help me out?
